Hey everyone,
It’s been a while since my last post and that’s because I’ve been working on quite a bit.
I left my previous job for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer role, and I’ve been kept pretty busy during onboarding. I’m very excited about my new role and I get to do new things and work on interesting technology. I’m doing a lot of work in Python, and it is a big breath of fresh air. I’ve also been trying to put a little more energy into NYC Python.
There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world, restrictions around COVID are getting looser as the population continues to get vaccinated, so now us organizers at NYC Python get to talk about how to pick up where we left off.
Regarding Python work, I’ve been getting more interested in library development. I’m trying to figure out the best practices for logging.
The logging
library does not get a lot of love. It’s a little bit hard to use, since you
must be very thoughtful when you use it. There’s a great HOWTO in the Python documentation.
Regarding my last project, ninjarmmpy, I won’t be able to maintain it since I left my last job, and no longer have access to NinjaRMM. I’m sure over the next few months I’ll have some public project that I can post on my GitHub where I’ll get to share with you all soon.
Stay tuned!
